Ed Bland

Prior to joining Unitus, Ed was a General Manager in the Entertainment and Devices Division at Microsoft, leading the global marketing efforts for Microsoft’s $2 billion games businesses. He launched Xbox 360 globally in 2005, gaining critical acclaim and commercial success. Prior to that, Ed led the sales team that launched the original Xbox in 2001 and established that platform as a core element of Microsoft’s consumer strategy. Before joining Microsoft in ’96, Ed was a publishing executive at Time, Inc. and a banker at Manufacturers Hanover Trust. He received numerous awards during his 20-year career in sales, marketing, finance, and product development, including one award given directly by Bill Gates for making valuable long-term contributions to Microsoft. A visiting lecturer at the Kellogg School of Management and the University of Washington, Ed holds an M.B.A. from the Yale School of Management and a B.A. from Bowdoin College.

 

Todd J. Carter

Todd Carter is a Managing Director with GCA Savvian. He has more than 20 years of investment banking experience, completing hundreds of mergers and acquisitions, financings, merchant banking, and advisory transactions. Prior to GCA Savvian, Todd was President of Robertson Stephens, an internationally recognized investment bank with annual revenues exceeding $1.5 billion. Prior to serving as president, he was Director of Global Investment Banking for Robertson Stephens. Todd received his B.A. from the University of Texas and his M.B.A. from Harvard Business School.

 

Pramit Jhaveri

Pramit has over 20 years experience in Corporate and Investment Banking in India and has been with Citi since 1987. Responsible for Citi's Global Banking business in India, Pramit has been highly successful in leading Citi to its leading position having led numerous landmark global M&A, equity financing and debt financing transactions. Prior to his current position, he was Head of India Investment Banking, Citi, and was responsible for setting up Citi Investment Banking in India. Apart from being on the Board of Unitus Capital, Pramit is also on the Board of Osians, a pioneering Arts institution in India. Pramit obtained his Bachelor of Commerce from Sydenham College, Mumbai and M.B.A in Finance from University of Rochester, USA.

 

Narayan Ramachandran

Narayan Ramachandran is Country Head of Morgan Stanley in India, leading all of the Group's businesses. Narayan has been actively involved as an investor in Emerging Markets for over 20 years. Narayan has a keen interest in using market-based mechanisms to reach the underserved in areas such as micro-finance, social venture capital, micro-insurance and affordable housing.

 

Alexander Wendeln

Alexander Wendeln is Managing Director of Wega Support GmbH, a German Family Office of the Wendeln and Klaene Families. He co-founded the Family Office after the disposal of the industrial bakery Wendeln Grossbaeckerei GmbH & Co KG in 1999. Mr. Wendeln is a graduate in business policy and business studies from the University of Muenster and the University of California, Los Angeles.

 

Geoff (Chester) Woolley

Geoff has been active in private equity investing for over 25 years and has founded two successful venture funds in the United States and Europe. He pioneered the concept of venture debt and has invested in over 400 companies in his career. He is a Founding Partner of Dominion Ventures, Inc. and European Venture Partners (now called Kreos Capital) and is Chairman of MACC Private Equity. Geoff has been involved in financing more that 300 emerging growth companies, including Ciena, Coinstar, Hotmail and Human Genome Science. In 1998, he assumed an advisory role at Dominion in order to pursue other non-profit and business interests. Among many positions, he currently holds a board seat at Unitus, Inc. and SKS Microfinance and is well connected in the microfinance industry. He also founded and chairs University Venture Fund at the University of Utah, the nation's largest and most successful student-led venture fund. Geoff holds a B.S. in business management from Brigham Young University and an M.B.A. from the University of Utah.
